Perched on the rim of Kilauea caldera with a view toward Halemaumau crater, the historic Volcano House hotel has long captured the imagination of visitors from all over the world with its rich cultural legacy, warm Hawaiian hospitality, and iconic location as the only hotel within Hawaii Volcanoes National Park on Hawaii Island. Drawing upon a storied history dating back to 1846, Volcano House is reimagined for a new era. Debuting in 2013 after a 3 million dollar renovation, the restored Volcano House offers 33 historic guest rooms, The Rim restaurant, Uncle George's Lounge, and a gift shop, along with cultural events and demonstrations.
