Ön Losinj är en lugn, familjevänlig och avslappad ö. Den ligger ett stycke söder om den stora halvön Istrien och är härligt grön och väldoftande. Losinj förbinds med den avlånga grannön Cres med en liten fallbro vid byn Osor. I Osor hålls sommartid klassiska konserter samt teaterföreställningar på hög nivå.

På Losinj badar du från anlagda badterrasser eller badvikar med stora klippor. På ön finns en liten stad, Mali Losinj samt flera mindre byar. Den charmigaste av alla är nog Veli Losinj som ligger ett stenkast från vårt lägenhetshotell Apartments Punta. Byn Veli Losinj är mycket liten men otroligt pittoresk fiskeby med småbåtshamn som sträcker sig lång upp i byn. Här finns flera restauranger längs hamnen, cafér, livsmedelsaffär och fiskhandel. Några kilometer bort, i Mali Losinj, får du ett större urval av restauranger och shopping. Här är hamnen större och gästas ofta av stora vackra segelbåtar. Skärgården runt om bjuder på fina båtutflykter, som tex den till sandön Susak.
