The train station is within walking distance, and traveling by S-Bahn, you have so much of Switzerland right at your doorstep. The old town of Bern is a World Heritage Site; the countless old buildings and over a hundred fountains provide unparalleled backdrops for the most relaxing of days (by the way, the best view of the old town is from the rose garden).
